Bob Smith

As COO, Bob is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the business operations including implementation services, contract management, and customer success.
Bob has nearly 30 years of healthcare IT experience, working with providers to create efficiencies and improve patient outcomes.
Before joining Smartcare, Bob was Director of Business Operations at BD, where he managed operations for the SaaS business unit. During this time, Bob revamped their struggling Life Sciences organization — leading them to a 74% increase in sales and revenue.
Bob has held operations and sales roles at numerous healthcare companies of varying sizes, including Sunquest Information Systems, 4medica, and HMS (now Medhost).
Bob is a clinical microbiologist by trade and enjoys spending his time racing and working on his antique Alfa Romeo spider, writing, raising chickens of various breeds, and attending sporting events with his family.
