June is Alzheimer and Brain Awareness Month. Alzheimer affects 50 million people today and unfortunately is a prominent disease in the elderly community.

Alzheimer is a disease caused by nerve cell death and tissue loss. As the disease progresses, the brain starts to shrink causing memory loss and brain functions to decline.

Signs Something is Wrong

The Alzheimer’s Association website lists 10 signs of this disease these include forgetting basic household chores, having trouble planning or solving problems, and confusion with time and space are just a few of the signs of Alzheimer’s. If you begin to notice any of these signs with a patient, they need to seek medical attention.

We here at Smartcare Software understand the importance of noticing the small signals of health decline in your patients. We created software to optimize your business, allowing you to spend more time with your patients noticing those small changes in their daily lives.

Focus your time and energy on providing the highest level of care possible with software to complement your work not take away from it.
